Tara Colquitt MSMI, is a medical illustrator who received her Master’s of Science in Medical Illustration from Augusta University. For the past couple of years, she has been an animator, illustrator, and marketer at MediVisuals Inc. in Richmond, Virginia. Her primary job is to provide medically accurate surgical, pathological, and anatomical demonstrative evidence to aid in the courtroom; ranging from personal injury and medical practice to pharmaceutical cases. She has experience reviewing and interpreting medical reports and radiological studies which are then translated into an engaging visual story. Tara is trained in both traditional and digital artistic techniques and softwares, ranging from pen and ink illustrations to cutting edge 3D animations.

Previous to her education at Augusta, Tara studied Scientific Illustration at the University of Georgia following her love of the natural world and animals. Since 2011, she has owned Colquitt Creative, an independent photography and creative service business. Through this, she has traveled the world, using photography and videography as an international form of communication. This unique combination of artistic expertise, biomedical knowledge, and diverse communication skills gives her the tools to provide excellent visual services within the healthcare industry.

Some of her hobbies include hunting & fishing, spending time with her cat Chicho, building PCs, weightlifting, and traveling with friends and family.
